Hello, my name is Ali Bhatti and welcome to my portfolio! I am a full stack software engineer primarily based in Houston, Texas. While I have originally completed a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University in 2014 and have practiced most of my career as a Mechanical Engineer, I have recently expanded my career into software engineering to pursue my passion in software development.

I have 2 years recent experience in software development and programming, and 5+ years of experience in the Mechanical Engineering and Management Consulting field at various reputable international companies prior to becoming a software developer. With my software development experience and prior experience in leading teams and managing clients in high-stake situations, I aspire to develop quality products, applications, and solutions to better serve client and company needs.

Developed front end using Javascript, React, tailwind, and css to allow user to interact with various data input forms on the website to create, edit, or delete meal plans and caloric intake.
Successfully integrated USDA FoodData API into the application through implementation of RESTful API architectural style to access and use food calorie data from third party sources.
Developed back end using Python, FastAPI, MongoDB, and domain-driven-design methodologies. In team of 5, planned app UI wireframes, API design, and discussed other issues during morning standup meetings.
